KSF: Supporting Local Schools

One of the main objectives of the Kevin Shannon Foundation is the support of local schools. Not all Chicago area schools have everything they need to ensure a first class learning experience. The KSF is dedicated to supplying both public and private schools with the tools they need to get the job done.

One of the schools we have endowed is the William P. Gray Elementary School in the Portage Park neighborhood on Chicago's Northwest Side. Annual grants have been earmarked for the school's athletic program. Using grant money from the KSF Gray School has been able to upgrade its basketball, softball, and soccer programs while freeing up General Operating Funds for other badly needed projects

Mrs. Della Cushing, Saint Barnabas Technology Director looks on as Saint Barnabas Principal Patricia Daly receives a check from KSF Chief Counsel Tom Finn.

One of our most recent grants has been to Saint Barnabas School, a Southwest Side Catholic grade school in Chicago's Beverly neighborhood. The students of Saint Barnabas will benefit from their KSF grant when it is used to obtain a new computer for classroom use.
